zoot suit:
In the class of Video Production, some learning objectives for the class include how to efficiently use tech equipment and editing programs, and how to learn to work as a team to create cohesive videos. These are no necessarily valuable to my future per say, but it definitely taught me how much it takes to make a production. The project that I am submitting as an artifact for Video Production included all of the learning objectives listed above since this was an actual 30 minute production.
This assignment was was a cut up and revised production of 'Zoot Suit' originally written and produced by Luis Valdez. Because I was a part if the acting cast, casted as George Shearer, this required me to not only act on most scene, bt also help with tech aspects, such as rolling a camera, help with the action boards, and set up/take down scenes. Throughout that process, I have realized I had grown in my team working skills. This directly applies to the learning objectives of working in teams to complete projects. This tells me that I am opening to new learning curves. The first SLO i displayed in this artifact Thinking Critically and Creatively. I showed this by putting together my two scenes, even with the not so great camera work, I made it work. the second SLO i showed would have to be Appling Technological Skills for the 21st Century. I showed this by using the editing software. Concluding this artifact, I don't see myself continuing down the Video Production path because of how stressful and time constraint it was. |
