Climate change google site
In the class of Agri. Environmental Science, we delve deeply into sustainable living and the effects our currently living habits has on the environment. This is definitely important for our future because we will continue living in the world for the rest of our lives, and with the lack of knowledge of what our actions are having on it, there will be no world to live on. The project we are currently working on is surrounding the topic of climate change. We were asked to create a google site to inform the public on the topic.
In this assignment, we had to go scrape beneath the surface to fully inform the public on the topic of climate change and how their current living style may be contributing to the increase of it. For this assignment, we had to create a google site, which I hadn't done since middle school. It was a bit challenging to figure out how everything works, but I was able to get through it faster after each page I designed. The process of this assignment was very fast paced. The word expectation was hard to keep up with, only because I personally feel that this topic shouldn't have a word expectation only because if you can get your point across in a small amount of words, being as fully answered as possible, then that should be fine. But besides the fact, it was a fairly simple yet fast paced assignment. What I learned included how to use Google Sites, and how to cautiously word my sentences to be 'censored' in a sense, to the public.
Two SLO's that I displayed in this artifact are Self Directed Learner and Applying 21st Century Technology. I feel that I did a pretty good job incorporating both as this project pace was set by me, but the due date was placed by the teacher. This meaning that our timeline of when work was going to be put into it was entirely up to me. I also applied 21st century technology by transferring obtained information and putting it on a website layout, as nowadays, people look for online resources rather than book resources.
Two of the most important things I learned while in the process of this artifacts include time management and censorship of my use of language. These both will benefit my future as censorship of voice is important fro day to day life talking to people, and time management because it is a skill we need to be able to master going into the work force.

4/26/19: Ogallala Aquifer report
During the class of Agriculture Science, the learning objectives are surrounding the topic of finding a sustainable way to live on this earth while not destroying any natural resources, which is extremely valuable to my future because without this Earth, there is no future. The project that I am submitting as an artifacts for Agri. Science had the learning objectives which include ways we could sustainably use the Ogallala waters without depleting it too quickly. These link back to the overall learning objectives of the class which include sustainable living.
This artifact was in regards to the Ogallala Aquifer and required me to delve deeply into who much today's society values sustainable living, or ultimately, this Earth. The process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with learning basic facts in regards to the Ogallala such as its geographical placement and who uses the resource it provides. Then we as a class delved deeper into the environmental and social problems it created such as the unequal separation of Ogallala. Finally, we gathered all the information and put it into report format. Throughout the process listed above, I have realized that I have learned and grown in the organization of facts and putting them in a formal format, which link back to the course goals and project goals of writing a report on the issues of the use of the Ogallala. This tells me alot about myself and how I learn by how easy it was for me, meaning that this assignment is up my alley.
I have demonstrated Self Directed learner in this artifact by just doing this assignment as it was an independent project, which i was able to do on time,b meeting all requirements (except word count). This is important as future tasks may have to be done independently, meaning this assignment strengthened my ability to do so. The second SLO I demonstrated was Thinking Critically and Creatively as we had to not only state any personal opinions on the matter, but we had to be sure that there were evidence to back up our claims. This is important because it strengthened our arguing skills.
Overall the most important things I have learned in the class this year is how little habits we do everyday, contributes to a bigger problem. This class will help my future as it explores alternative ideas to decrease the amount of harm being put on our planet we live on.
